Conrad Grebel University College
The Theological Studies (TS) program is a two-year program for full-time or part-time students preparing for further graduate studies, for pastoral or chaplaincy ministry, or studying for personal enrichment. There are three program options: course-work, applied studies and thesis. The Master of Theological Studies (MTS) degree is offered conjointly by the University of Waterloo (UW) and Conrad Grebel University College. Faculty research interests include biblical textual and thematic studies, Anabaptist-Mennonite studies, global Christian theology, Christian hymnody, spirituality and aging, and inter-religious dialogue. Full time Canadian students will receive a full tuition scholarship and some full tuition scholarships are also available for international students. Students with previous graduate studies in theology may request transfer credit or advanced standing. Students are able to take some of their courses at nearby theological schools such as Toronto School of Theology, Waterloo Lutheran Seminary, and McMaster Divinity College. Students in this program are part of UW’s graduate program and may access services such as housing and health insurance.
